THE VOICE GENERATIONS: A NEW JOURNEY IN MUSIC
The Voice Generations is all set to captivate audiences once again. The show, a new version of The Voice Senior, will be hosted by Antonella Clerici. Let’s dive into what this program is all about, who the judges are, and when it will be aired.
THE VOICE GENERATIONS: RULES AND JUDGES
After Diana Puddu’s victory, from Gigi D’Alessio’s team on The Voice Senior, the show that gives a second chance to singers returns. Rai 1 will broadcast The Voice Generations, a spin-off of The Voice, where families, friends, and colleagues from different generations will compete for the ultimate victory. They are all united by one common passion: music.
There will be two episodes aired in prime time at 9:30 pm on Friday, April 12 and Friday, April 19, 2024. Antonella Clerici will be the host, accompanied by the four coaches we have seen in both The Voice Senior and the Kids version. These coaches are Loredana Bertè, Gigi D’Alessio, Clementino, and Arisa. As explained by the host Antonella Clerici in the program’s promo, there is no need for a blood relationship among the contestants; it is sufficient that the participants (from two onwards) are connected by friendship and “love” in all its forms.
The Voice Generations, a spin-off of The Voice, is produced by Direzione Intrattenimento Prime Time in collaboration with Fremantle Italia, with Sergio Colabona as the director.
ANTICIPATION OF THE FIRST EPISODE ON APRIL 12
But how will The Voice Generations unfold? The first episode on April 12 will feature the “Blind Auditions,” where the coaches will listen to the performances of the competing groups with their backs turned. As seen in other versions of the program, the selected contestants will then choose which coach to join. In this phase, the judges will have the opportunity to ‘block’ a fellow coach and prevent that group from joining their team.
On Friday, April 12, each coach will choose two contestants, making a total of 8 groups that will compete in the final episode on Friday, April 19. After listening to all the singers again, only four will pass to the final stage. The winner will be decided by the audience in the studio, equipped with a remote control. The episodes will be broadcast on Rai 1 and can be watched on demand on RaiPlay.
